Maddog Surrender m?ľete znát zdíky jejich album Bethlehem Steel, jehoľ evropskou verzi má na sv?domí domácí label 4Subculture Records. Krom? toho má kapela na kont? jeąt? dv? split EP (s Urban Riot a s The Offenders). Toto album vychází díky spolupráci amerického labelu Skinflint Music a britských MFS (takľe se m?ľeme moľná op?t do?kat jak americké, tak evropské verze, jenľ budou mít rozdílné obaly ? jako splitko TMF a Offensive Weapon). Kapela hraje typický americký brickwall styl, kterému dominuje hrubý, hluboký a zast?ený hlas zp?váka, kterej bezvadn? podtrhují singalongy zbytku bandy. Ob?as se kytara vytasí s n?jakou tou vyhrávkou (t?eba v Among the Mindless nebo Soul Survivor). V n??em mi to p?ipomíná Bonecrusher, akorát je to o n?co pomalejąí, n?kde slyąím The Brusiers. Song? na albu najdete deset. Nejvíce se mi líbí Move You Bastards, coľ je haleka?ka a já si celkem dob?e umim p?edstavit, jak jí hrajou t?eba Dropkick Murphys (v jejichľ poddání by to bylo samoz?ejm? mnohem m?k?í), Soul Survivor a hlavn? Nagasaki Bang. Názvy daląích song? jsou t?eba Grapes to Wine, Take No Rules, Rip Down nebo Leech. Album mám zatím jen digitáln?, takľe o vnit?ku op?t moc nepovim. Fand?m hrubąích kapel mohu jen doporu?it a slibuju, ľe si to po?ídim i normáln?, aľ to bude venku.

English version:
You may know Maddog Surrender from their album Bethlehem Steel which was release for Europe on Czech label 4Subculture Records. Besides this album the band has released two split EP´s (with Urban Riot and with The Offenders). This album will be released due to cooperation US label Skinflint Music and British MFS (so maybe we will receive again two versions of the cover ? US and Europe like on split EP with TMF and Offensive Weapon). The band is playing typical US brickwall style with tough, deep and covered vocal which is greatly underlined by singalong of the rest of the band. Guitar is also great (they had two I think) so check the solos in songs Among the Mindless or in Soul Survivor). It reminds me Bonecrushers in some tunes, in other it sounds like The Bruisers. On the album are ten songs. Most of all I like Move You Bastards which is great singalong tune (check youtube) and I can imagine Dropkick Murphys for example how they playing this one (softer version of course), then Soul Survivor and Nagasaki Bang for sure. Titles of the other songs are Grapes to Wine, Take No Rules, Rip Down or Leech. Ihave just digital version (again) so I can´t tell anything more about the artwork but I promise that I will buy it for sure.

More trouble coming out of Bethlehem, Philly with the new album from Maddog Surrender! It?s been a while since their last album, ?Bethlehem Steel?, came out (in 2008 and 2010 to be more precise) but after five years this band finally returned with a new self-titled album on Skinflint Music / MFS.

The music on this new record is still a great mix of heavy and melodic Oi! music with tons of rock ?n? roll music. But no matter if the band plays heavy, melodic or more rock ?n? rollish kind of tunes Maddog Surrender always sounds angry as fuck thanks to singer Dutch. Personally I do not mind at all and from time to time Dutch? vocals remind me somewhat of rev. Paul Bearer, which is always a good reference is you ask me!

For now I only received a digital promo, so I can?t really tell what the lyrics are about and the heavy growling voice of Dutch isn?t helping either on that part. But despite the fact I can barely hear the lyrics my favorite songs are ?Late For Supper?, ?Move You Bastards Out?, ?Among The Mindless? and the mid-tempo track ?Nagasaki Bang? which is probably my favorite song and ends with a shredding guitarsolo ripping the track up in its final moments, gnarly!

If you?re a fan of Maddog Surrender you had to wait quite a while for a new record, but the wait is finally over and it is definitely worth it! Ten new tracks that are worth every dollar you spend on this CD!
