Review American Oi:
After 2013?s self-released demo, the self-titled debut EP on Lionheart Records and 2014?s four-track contribution to Rebellion Records? ?New Breed Rising? compilation, it is time again for a new slab of wax from the frontline of Britain?s newest wave of close shave, Queensbury Rules! Unfortunately the band presents ?just? two new tracks on their latest installment for Grey Zone Records, the ?Workers Of Britain? EP.

It?s unfortunate because I really like the sound of this band. I haven?t heard the demo, but their debut 7? (of which some of the demo tracks appeared, whether or not re-recorded) was a real solid first release, but got topped by their four songs on the ?New Breed Rising? compilation. Side A, that holds the title track ?Workers Of Britain?, basically picks it up where the band left off on the mentioned compilation, a slow-paced ?proud to be working class? stomper that nails it from start to finish. On the B side you?ll find the band?s fast-paced anthem ?Queensbury Rules?, a manic and violent punk track with tons of Oi! Oi! Oi!?s to raise your to and shout along with.

Top track for me is without a doubt the title track, but yet again not a bad release at all by Queensbury Rules. The 7? is hand numbered, limited to 300 copies and comes on both black and oxblood red vinyl. Get in on the new breed of British Oi!!
